getting started with real nappies

nappies

15 to 25 – will depend on type of nappy and washing cycle. On average could be using between 6 to 8 nappies per day so will require a minimum of 16 thereby enabling the washing to be done daily and for the next batch of nappies to be dry within 24 hours.

wraps

4 to 5 in each size as not necessary to wash after each use but ensure has a good airing. None required if using Pocket Nappies as the wrap is part of the nappy.

disposable (bio-degradable) nappy liners

To make nappy changing easier for non fleece lined nappies.

fleece liners

Provides excellent stay dry protection between baby and the nappy.

boosters

For extra absorbency at night or for a heavy wetter. Can also be used as newborn nappies inside a snug velcro fitting wrap.

inserts

If using Pocket Nappies to keep baby dry.

nappi nippas

Very easy to use plastic nappy fastening.

nappy bucket

To put soiled nappies in ready to wash. A large bucket with a securely fitted lid will suffice.

nappy mesh

Fits neatly inside the bucket to ensure very easy transfer of nappies straight to the washing machine.

portable hanging nappy bag

For space limited areas – can also be used to store soiled nappies in and wet or dirty clothing.

Out and about – to carry soiled nappies in.
